This is just something I threw together in 8 hours one night during finals week. It's the original design of the Wolfen from the unreleased SNES game, Star Fox 2. For whatever reason, there is a ROM available on the Internet, and an English translation patch has since been created. I won't tell any of you where to find it, because I can't even remember myself! Just look and you'll find it. : P

Anyway, this was the second idea of what I wanted to make for my project in advanced technical design this year. With a lot more detail, of course! Basically, I found a Star Fox model viewer on the Internet that allows you to look at all the models from Star Fox and Star Fox 2, letting you pan, zoom, rotate, and all that. A few weeks before school actually started I painstakingly took screencaps of the model, without zooming, from each orthographic perspective point. I then used these pictures as basic references to reconstruct an approximate model of the Wolfen in 3ds Max.

I'm rather satisfied with this model, seeing as it's probably the most accurate replication of the original Wolfen there is out there. Then again, it's probably the only recreation of the Star Fox 2 Wolfen. I'll get around to fixing those fins on the back, I'm still not satisfied with them, and I'll try to figure out how to make animated textures for the thrusters. Probably one of my next side projects in Max is going to be the Arwing from the original Star Fox. The high-poly version of course. The one you see in-game has only 24 polygons, which makes it kinda meh. Yes. I know Star Fox well enough to tell you how many polygons are in the Arwing.

Edit: Bleh, that's right. Image compression left some artifacts here and there. I may get a better render done sometime in the next week or so, but you all know me. I probably won't bother. ; P
